Look at it this way.

Let's say it's turn 7. you play your seventh mountain and summon this using all your mana. Because of this, you get five 3/4 monsters and one 5/4 monster. I play my seventh forest then play my "Howl of the Night Pack" (from the shadowmoor playset). Because I own seven forests, I get seven 2/2 monsters.

Here are the power totals for both of those:

You: 20/24
Me: 14/14

That can make a major difference seventh turn.

I would not be able to turnabout this until I had 14 land, to which I could play 2 copies of my spell, which would result in 28 wolves. but by then, you would ahve probably already killed me with the dragons.

The basic principle here is that this card is too powerful by itself for a card that can start seeing great effects by the 4th turn.

yeah, I understand.

Really, it is still pretty good for a first attempt. the only thing I would see changing would be making the cost 4red only and making the token effect "when summong this creature, pay x mana. after resolution, summon a number of 3/4 red dragon tokens with flying equal to the amount of mana paid for this effect, divided by 2.
